CONSULTATION
The starting point for predictable results
Why Consultation Comes First
At MAVA, no treatment or program begins without a consultation. This isn’t a formality.
It’s the foundation of the entire system.
Hair is shaped by history — chemical, mechanical, environmental — and two heads of hair with the same texture can require completely different approaches.
A consultation allows us to understand:
-
What your hair has been through
-
What condition it’s in today
-
What is safe, realistic, and sustainable
-
What kind of structure your hair actually needs
Without this step, results become guesswork.
And guesswork is not part of the MAVA system.

What This Consultation Is
This is a diagnostic conversation, not a sales call.
During your consultation, we will:
-
Review your hair history and current routine
-
Identify the root causes of frizz, damage, or instability
-
Explain how your hair behaves and why
-
Determine whether MAVA is appropriate for you
If it is, a clear plan will be prescribed.
If it isn’t, you’ll be told honestly.
There is no pressure to proceed.
What This Consultation Is Not
To set clear expectations, this consultation is not:
-
A booking shortcut
-
A guarantee of a specific treatment
-
A space to choose services or packages
-
A promise of instant results
MAVA does not operate on self-selection.
Treatments and programs are prescribed only when they are appropriate.
Who This Consultation Is For
This consultation is ideal if you:
-
Have frizzy, curly, or mixed-texture hair that feels unpredictable
-
Have tried smoothing or keratin systems with inconsistent results
-
Are concerned about damage or long-term hair health
-
Want clarity before committing to anything
It may not be the right fit if you’re looking for:
-
Immediate results without a process
-
The strongest or fastest chemical solution
-
A single appointment to “fix everything”
Possible Outcomes of a Consultation
After your consultation, one of three things will happen:
A MAVA treatment or program is prescribed
You’ll receive a clear recommendation tailored to your hair and goals.
A phased or long-term approach is recommended
In cases where hair requires continuity, structure will be explained.

MAVA is not recommended
If your hair or expectations are not aligned with the system, you’ll be advised accordingly.
All three outcomes are considered successful consultations.
About Programs & Long-Term Care
Some hair conditions require more than a single visit.
When continuity is necessary, MAVA uses structured programs — including Concierge Haircare — to provide:
-
Consistency
-
Accountability
-
Better long-term outcomes
Programs are never selected online.
They are only discussed after consultation, when the need is clear.
